Emerson Burkhart - Sunshine on Mt Vernon
No person has owned more great paintings by Emerson Burkhart than his primary patron and good friend, Karl Jaeger. In fact, Jaeger served as the executor of Emerson’s estate when he passed away in 1969. Mr. Jaeger has decided to place more than a dozen paintings from his holdings with us for sale to the public. We are excited to be able to offer these fresh to the market paintings to you. We anticipate that they will be available by the end of January, 2015.
The Weaver Gallery was specifically built to showcase a remarkable collection of important Burkhart works acquired by Charles Weaver while he lived in Columbus. His friendship with Emerson led to side by side painting sessions and a close personal relationship that spanned the years. Weaver had a very good eye for quality and only purchased the best paintings he could.
His choices were solid as nearly every one of his paintings found their way to exhibitions in Ohio and museums in other states as well. There are a limited number of Burkhart paintings still available from this collection. Don’t miss the opportunity to own one!
